    SMTP limits

    Hi,

I need a hosting with a reasonable bulk mailing limits. I need to periodicaly send newsletters, update notifications, reminders and etc. to my customers. (Not a SPAM :-) )

Has your SMTP server limits? e.g. NN messages/minute?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

I've been hosted here for over a year, and never read about any mail limitations. However, they had a couple of spammers here, a while back, that got everyone on JagPC 'blackholed.' So, make sure you aren't splitting hairs and sending out anything that could be considered unsolicited mailings - anything that will cause problems for the rest of 'us'!

If your mailings are REALLY going to your customers, users, friends, et cetera, I don't think there are any limits, but if you start sending UCE's, they'll probably cancel/delete your account without notice. This isn't a spammer hangout...

I'll setup a service with user accounts. So, that mailings will go to my users only. Currently I have a hosting with 20 messages/minute limit and I have to insert delays between message. So, sending news update to 2000 users takes about 2 hours (acceptable but I wish a bit faster).

That's all. No SPAM. Just subscribed users.

Any support guys here? Can you give me exact figures and rules?

    Dennis

Not usually, unless someone directs them to specific posts. They come 'n' go. This is mostly a client board.

I'd mail them, since you cannot generate tickets yet...

If that doesn't do it for you, here are some more:

That's the owner and two of his main men. If they don't know the answer, nobody will...

I run a few lists, none nearly as large as 2000 users, but one has a couple hundred. I've never noticed a problem with sending to it.

I think Les just overlooked an area.

My experience is when Les gets involved in a problem what ever it is, the problem gets taken care of.
