    Subdomains in add-on domains

    Hi,

Is it possible to have a subdomain on an add-on domain in VPS?

e.g., if my main site is www.site.com and I have a subdomain under it, subdomain.site.com, that goes to add-on domain www.subdomain.com.

Can I have a subdomain on that add-on domain, something like sub2.subdomain.com?

    Hope that made sense!

    Thanks.

It will be setup in the same way as you setup subdomain on main domain.

When you setup an addon domain, then in the cPanel Subdmain page, you will see a dropdown list so you can select the addon domain from that dropdown and setup a subdomain on it.

Note that when you do this the subdomain directory will be created in public_html, not in public_html/multihost as you might expect. This effectively prohibits you from using the same subdomain on multiple domains in the same account (i.e. you won't be able to have forums.maindomain.com and forums.multihosteddomain.com).
