    Accessing ftp with the browser

    Hi!

I'm trying access to a ftp folder using ftp://[email protected]. The server asks for the password but always launchs the error: 530 Login authentication failed. The password is ok and if I use any ftp program everything runs fine.

How can I access to that folder and upload files using the browser?

    Thanks in advance. Nac.

Make sure you login with your full username and password. I think you'll find the login option in the File section of your toolbar.

Also ensure that you are trying to access the correct directory, maybe?

Just tossing out suggestions, in case you haven't tried them all.
    Good luck

Thanks, Ron. I tried everything but nothing works. I also tried the url ftp://ftp.sociedadtolkien.org (my domain), but it doesn't work.

Oh yes, if I try http://ftp.sociedadtolkien.org/ the result is the test page of Apache. Is that normal?

You can free yourself from browser troubles by installing a free FTP client software such as FileZilla from http://filezilla.sourceforge.net
