To Sign Up Or Not To Sign Up

Im not sure If I ought to sign up here or not. Price is good, great features, but all the members complaining. I dont know what to think. Anyone know if the 30 day money back guarantee applies to annual subscribers? Cuz Im only 16 and my parents wont let me use the credit card. Plus, I dont think they will write me a check every month

No need not to subscribe. All goes well. The only concern would be the suitability of hosting plans to your needs.

For me the allowed monthly transfer has become the most important factor, forcing me to buy an additional account at another host.

At Aletia there are only three different shared hosting plans. If you are sure for it to fit your site, go on sign.

Remember though, that a year is a long time. Think about your site - how big will it be after a year, how many visitors.

Yes, the support was slow, but now it is fine, the way it used to be. All my questions is answering within afew hours or a day.

Only a small percentage are complaining.

For the price range and the features Aletia offers I'm extremely happy. All hosts have problems now and then, believe me I know. I've been through some rough times with a few hosts. Downtimes, while they happen here just like everywhere else, are usually short in duration and Aletia is always upfront when it comes to keeping clients updated on when and what is happening. The support is prompt and helpful for a host in this price range..

    Peace...

If you were to signup now you would probably be put on starfish, Aletia's newest server. The servers that people are complaining about are scorpion, puma, and cheetah, but starfish is fine. It has a nice uptime of over two weeks, good load averages, and is still has few users compared to other servers. I personally have no complaints or grudges with Aletia, so give it try and signup.

I signed up today, I'd been going back and forth as to whether I should or not, but, what the hell... if I'm not satisfied after 30 days, they'll refund my money and I can always setup elsewhere. I don't think Aletia has any chance of being any worse than the hosts I've used in the past (Webcom and ADDR). As long as that's the case, I have a feeling I'll stick around with Aletia for a while.

Only a small percentage actually have sites that are popular enough where an hour downtime turns out to be a big deal.
If you have a small site, then it's really no big deal.

thank you guys for your honest opinions. I had my heart set on aletia for a while. A few weeks ago, i got worried when everyone was complaining. This post has made me decide to go for it.

Now im wondering if i should do the monthly or yearly route.

I avg 1100hits a month, so i think is should be fine.
