    mod_gzip on puma?

    Have anyone on puma tried using mod_gzip? I've tried and it didn't work for me. I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing wrong or if puma is misconfigured. I checked the apache config file on puma, and mod_gzip seems to be enabled.

    Nevermind. Didn't know mod_gzip will automatically gzip everything. Sorry for the noise.

    yeah, you mentioned in the other thread about phpBB's output being garbled when you enabled gzip in its control panel, right? as you discovered, if mod_gzip is enabled, stuff is automatically compressed and if phpBB compresses it first, it will be garbled. phpBB's gzipping and mod_gzip don't mean the same thing.

    phpBB's gzip = PHP's gzcompress() function + special headers.
    mod_gzip = Apache module to automatically gzip all output.
