    With respect to the lack of communication, it would be nice to know what happened so I can better let my clients know The initial report said the data center was at fault. Data centers are supposed to have redundant systems to prevent extended downtime so why did this happen in the first place? The only thing I can find with regards to this, most likely, is this thread regarding Comcast. It seems they were also affected.

    We're still waiting on an official RFO on our end as well. What happened is we had a couple circuits go out unfortunately on very dense cabinets which affected a large number of shared/reseller users so it had a big impact. The fact that the battery backups and generators didn't cover the interrupt is the big concern. Electricans were on site investigating same-day and we are sending some EE specialists in separately to get another assessment. It should never have happened and we digging to figure it out.

    I have been using hostgator and interserver from last many years. Sometimes they are also down
