Please try again and it should be up. This Cpanel program has a screwy license protocol and sometimes it fails out of the blue every once a month or two. It'll take a few minutes for all the updates to complete, but it should run fine after it's finished. Also, in the future, please use the support ticket system we have and open a ticket in regards to this, as we don't get notices about posts to the board or what they are regarding, as opposed to the ticket system allowing us to receive notifications right away and all the staff can see this and act on it much more efficiently than we can if one of us happen to be checking the board. This, of course, is to your advantage. Thank you for notifying us about this, it should be up soon.

The reason I didn't open a ticket as I thought it would have been a system wide failure and that if everyone opened a ticket JPC would have been flooded with trouble tickets for the same thing.

Secondly, I don't like to use the trouble ticket system that you have in place because it doesn't remember my login details. In order to log in, I have to go find the email I was sent with that information. It would be nice if that script was fixed so it would actually remember.

    Thanks,
    John

The original poster of this thread, posted a while ago (as you can see), so I didn't know this was a new issue, other than the support tickets recently. Thanks for posting here about it, as well as those that did open the tickets. I appreciate that not everyone opened up an indivudual ticket, but just for the sake that someone else might not have, you probably should. However, at the same time, you are correct in assuming we probably are aware of it.

That said, we are waiting for feedback from the place that validates our license. Something may very well be screwy with their server. I have done everything on our end and ran the reinstall even (which almost always fixes these stupid error messages about the license -- don't ask me _why_ they stop working in the first place, it's crazy!), but that didn't help at all. Usually, this doesn't happen other than once a month or two (or less), but it does happen and you have the displeasure of witnessing it first hand.

It should be up soon, if it isn't by now. We apologize for the hassles and delays due to this, of course. Please let us know if there's anything else, and we will surely do what we can to get this up and functional again ASAP.

I didn't know it was an issue again either. I just checked and the license has expired message is there. This isn't a major headache as I only use the CP to get to phpmyadmin.

I just bookmark the link to phpmyadmin and rename the bookmark to something short like "myadmin". All you have to do then is just type that in the browser.

    yourdomain.com:2082/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php

That link should work, I don't know of any other ways.

    Angry Me Too

ME TOO! All the more reason to get the new system in place as quickly as possible. I presume the new interface will still provide access to the Mailman administration panel, etc. That is one great FSF mailing list program and is faster than all the rest (and I've used them all). Currently I have 11 LISTSERVER (tm) forums, but since trying Mailman, it outperforms even what has been purported to be the best. Thanks for including good FSF software. Richard Stallmans is my hero [g]..

Guess I spoke too soon. It works for about 5 minutes then stops again. This is just getting ridiculous.

    Hmmm...

You guys sound like you're having a day like mine. Not to sound like I'm complaining, but I've got a wonderful Win2k Server w/ IIS and PHP 4 that got toasted by NIMDA yesterday afternoon. I was here until 11:30 last night, got a backup server in place this morning, now I'm trying to get the regualr server working again, but PHP is causiing a conflict with ASP. Argh!!!! Oh well, its 8:00, I've been here 12 hours now. Going home....finally...
