that's good. Dolphin was the former uptime champion and this could have removed it from its throne.

Sites on Dolphin are inaccesible right now (email is working etc.). I've noticed a few blips the last few days (I'm hoping this is a blip).

    Is this related?

I believe the word 'blip' comes from the term for a spot on a radar or oscilloscope. It has come to mean a short but noticeable interuption (noise, lack of service, etc.)

Or I could be completely off-base.

Prone is right. In this context, it refers to a kind of server hiccup, like a little bump, spike, or anomoly in otherwise smooth operation.

Right -- 'blip' meant brief anomaly in my context.

Dolphin behaved badly for about ten minutes last night. It's the third time this week I noticed a short interruption.

Just had another five-minute 'blip' that's clearing now. Little different than usual -- started with a drastic slow-down ... still not completely up to speed but it's working on it.

Scrap that -- it's down. Even email is slow.
