    parked domain email question

    A question about parked domains:

When I park a domain, what options will I have for email? Will the parked domain have the capability to have its own email names, or will an email name on the parked domain get put in a mailbox of the same name as the main domain (e.g., [email protected] goes into the mailbox of [email protected])?

By default, all email sent to a parked domain goes to the default address on the main domain. You can, however, set up specific redirects on the parked domain, so you could make [email protected] forward to [email protected]. I don't think there is a way to automatically forward x@domain2.com to the same name on the main domain, though. You'd have to set up each redirect by hand. Parked domains cannot have their own pop boxes, only forwarders.

That's what I was afraid of. I guess I'll be doing the redirect thing here. The service I'm using now uses Cpanel but somehow the parked domains have unique email addresses rather than sending them all to the default address. If their servers hadn't crashed and burned (offline for a week now!), I wouldn't be looking for a new service. But these forums alone are a great reason to switch.

    Hello,

The latest versions of CPANEL support the creation of email address for subdomains and parked domains. However the skin used buy Jaguar doesn't support this.

    Cheers.
