    New billing nits

2 minor issues regarding the new billing:

    1) I received 10 email reminders today, and about 10 on the 3rd. Perhaps you already know this.
    2) There is no longer a direct link to PayPal on the invoice. This means I have to log into the dashboard to pay. Previously I only needed to click on one link from the email to pay.

    Thanks,
    --Elliot

We are aware that some clients got multiple notices about invoices particularly this affected a certain grouping of clients with addons. There is already a fix being tested that should be in place this weekend. Sorry about the barrage of emails.

There's not a tag in the existing features to insert that kind of paypal payment link in the invoices yet so we are working on an API hook to add that back in.

I have just recieved an invoice for addons which I'd thought I'd paid with my previous invoices

and also a invoice for late payment.
    1. It doesn't say which late payment
    2. If you change rules on a late payment I would prefer to know in advance rather then dropped on me.

    Kind Regards

    Greg and all,

I received two invoices. The total of the two combined is the usual total amount.
I hope you don't bill them separately if it costs you extra fees to do that! That would really bite.

    Invoice numbers 21000 4622 and 4625

    Good luck fellas

    OK, now you've confused me.

    First emails said:

This is a notice that an invoice has been generated on 2015-08-20.

Your payment method is: Credit Card

    Invoice #210004622

Payment will be taken automatically on 2015-08-25 from your credit card on record with us. To update or change the credit card details we hold for your account please login at

    Your payment method is:

    Invoice #210004625
Note that there is no mention of automagic payment in the second invoice, nor is the payment type of "Credit Card" there.
I hadn't noticed that difference before.

Now today I just got two more emails, "reminders"

This is a billing reminder that your invoice no. 210004622 which was generated on 2015-08-20 is due on 2015-08-25.

Your payment method is: Credit Card

As you can see, in the first series of emails, invoice 22 says the payment will automagically be drafted, invoice 25 does not say this.
In the second set, they both are asking be to login and pay, but both invoices say payment type is now "Credit Card".

The date is tomorrow, I'd hate for my site to go offline for non-payment.

Sooo, whazzup? Will they both be automagically drafted? Neither? One of the two?

They both should have been charged tomorrow but I went ahead and merged them into a single invoice so all should go as normal during the next processing run. We're busting our rears to ensure all the invoice/billing tomfoolery this month isn't repeated going ahead.

That late payment was likely removed. We temporarily removed several late payment fees and pushed back suspension times so clients won't be impacted by billing complications.

Hey, it was a big rollout. Stuff happens...

Anywho, perhaps if it's gonna charge the card the "reminder" could say

"This amout will be charged to your method of payment on xx/xx/xx, but if you like you can log in before to change it"

    or something similar.

Stay away from the Platte River. That's a class 6 rapids over there

Poor guys at Platte really aren't given their due. They did nothing wrong. Companies like them, us, and other providers get subpoena's, we comply, we move on. It's pretty standard really. They're kind of being used as scape goats right now.

I thought I read somewhere that the head sales dude has a history with the Clintons as well as a substantial record.
